I am not ready for this. Our mission is
getting smart phones! What is happening?? AHHH! I'm excited, and I'm
sure it'll be super helpful for our missionary work, I just hope
missionaries don't get distracted! Especially me!
This
week was crazy fun, though! We had Zone Conference, and we talked about
what visions we as missionaries have for our missions, and what things
we hope to accomplish, hope to become, be a part of. We also talked
about visions for our area, and how we can improve our areas. Elder Qiu
and I decided we want to help FengLin have enough members to be a
self-sustaining unit, not one that needs missionary help. So, we want to
help people get baptized, build member relationships, and strengthen
the ties between the members here. I'm pumped out of my mind right now.
Also,
last week, we had the opportunity help the other missionaries in
HuaLian host a Halloween activity. We weren't sure if it was going to be
very successful, but it turned out awesome! There were so many people
there, including non-members! It was super fun! Pictures will probably
be on the drive soon, I am experiencing some camera difficulties.
This
last week, we also had the opportunity to share the Plan of Salvation
with an investigator, and the Spirit was so strong. As we shared the
video "Because of Him", from lds.org,
and bore our personal testimonies of the Savior and His Atonement, I
could feel the truth of what we said. I know the Jesus is our Savior,
that because He loves us, and wanted us to be able to overcome our
personal imperfections, He was willing to endure the pains and agony of
that night in Gethsemane, and then die for us on the Cross. But I know
that through His sacrifice, with His blood, we can be healed. We can all
overcome the pains of life, and find peace in the arms of our Savior.
And although we will all die, because of Christ, we will live again! I
love Jesus Christ, and over my mission He has truly become my best
friend.
